Indian garment exporters do not market online extensively

Though india has some of the largest software companies, indian garment and other exporters do not market their products aggressively online to reach a large numer of customers. Chinese and Bangladeshi companies have aggressively used the internet to promote their products online, especially textile products, like garments, tshirts, sweaters, knit items. On an average at least one or more export oriented company from these countries will send an email to a website which will list their offers.
In contrast though India is far larger than Bangladesh, an Indian website will receive few offers from Indian textile or garment companies, it appears that most indian SMEs do not use the internet extensively to understand how they can use to find more customers and vendors. It appears that the large scale theft of emails, leads and orders in India has discouraged Indian SMEs.
